WaterWise Technologies is committed to protecting the future of our national and local water supplies by offering high-quality, water-efficient products. That’s why we are partnering with WaterSense, a United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) program. The WaterSense partnership further strengthens our commitment to promoting the wise use of water. As new challenges in the water industry arise, so will the opportunities to leverage sustainable water solutions for the realization of economic and environmental benefits.

The program's mission is to protect the future of the nation's water supply by promoting and enhancing the market for water-efficient products and services. Preserving the water supply is critical to our economy, the environment and human health,. In turn, reducing unnecessary water consumption on a broad scale will have a direct impact in decreasing water and wastewater infrastructure costs.

The WaterSense label makes it easy to find products and services that save water while ensuring performance. WaterSense labeled products use about 20 percent less water and perform as well as or better than their less efficient counterparts. Look for the WaterSense label on specially marked products on our website and know you are purchasing a product that will reduce water use and could lower your utility bills without sacrificing quality or performance.

Why WaterWise Cares

Considering the big picture, the EPA estimates that water utilities will require approximately $277 billion for infrastructure construction, upgrades, and replacement during the next 20 years. In addition, wastewater treatment utilities will need multi-billion dollar infrastructure upgrades and expansions, with much of this investment tied to the volume of water needing treatment. By reducing water consumption through efficiency measures, water and wastewater utilities can delay or reduce infrastructure costs, while reducing environmental impacts.

A practical example for consideration is that an American family of four can use more than 400 gallons of water every day and, on average, 70 percent of that water is used indoors. But did you know that you and your family could save nearly 30,000 gallons per year simply by installing water-efficient fixtures in your home? For example, if all inefficient toilets in U.S. homes were converted to high-efficiency models, we could save more than 950 billion gallons of water per year—the equivalent to 15 days of flow over Niagara Falls.
