About the J-Trap…
The J-Trap uses cutting edge technology to manage sanitation in the EnviroSeal Cartridge. Using a time-proven system that is recognized by plumbing authorities worldwide, the J-Trap operates on the same principle that is used for sink drains. A J-Trap or “gooseneck” holds a small amount of effluent, thereby creating a 2” vertical lift seal as required code in most areas. It prevents sewer odors from escaping and entering the restroom. This system completely eliminates the need for barrier oil or special cleaners.
   

About the BioPūr Enzymes…
The Pūrleve BioPūr enzyme kits are composed of specially formulated bacterial cultures capable of degrading uric acid, the leading cause of odors in urinals. The enzyme blocks contain powerful biological cleaning agents, proven to maintain clear and odor free urinal traps and lines by degrading the crystalline structure of uric acid that can slow the drain system and standard traps. These enzyme blocks are designed to be safer and less damaging than the conventional pCDB chemicals used in most urinal blocks. The BioPūr kits are cost efficient and can help save money by prolonging the use of the Pūrleve EnviroSeal Cartridge and minimizing time for urinal cleanings. Specifically, the BioPūr enzyme’s dispense bacteria and water softening agents into the Pūrleve EnviroSeal System and pipelines each time the urinal is used or cleaned. The unique formula targets and cleans scaling build-up as it deodorizes.
   
The Pūrleve EnviroSeal system includes Silver Ion additives which release over a controlled rate at the surface of the polymer substrates (EnviroSeal parts). This imparts an effective and persistent antimicrobial effect which offers excellent resistance to washing and remains effective for the long term use of the Pūrleve EnviroSeal.

Maintenance and Cleaning:
Maintenance is simple! After initial installation, simply monitor the BioPur Kit periodically until you notice the BioPur Enzyme Block is completely dissolved. Simply unscrew the BioPur Kit (no need to remove the cartridge) and insert a fresh BioPur Enzyme Block, then screw the BioPur Kit back in place. This operation will be required approximately every thirty days. Fixture usage may have an impact on frequency.

With this unique cartridge system, no special cleaners are required. You may clean your fixture as you would clean any flush-type urinal. However, for optimum performance, we highly recommend using Pūrleve™ Cleaner & Deodorizer, an effective and environmentally safe cleaner specially formulated to maintain waterless urinals. It contains four times the enzymes of any other urinal cleaner, and this further aids in prolonging the life of the EnviroSeal cartridge and preventing drainline encrustations from forming.
